I had foot surgery this past Wednesday. It took
until last evening for the effects of the anesthesia to wear off, and early
this morning the nerve block was gone. Poof. I’m happy the surgery is done and
that I’m in the ice, elevate, dose and heal aspects of it all. Knowing this was
coming to put me on hold for a while, I postponed my usual procrastination and
got most of Christmas done way ahead of time. Soon I’ll be writing my down time
away.
Sometimes it takes an event such as a recuperation time
to get a writer to return to her writing. Today’s tiny post feels like a warm up, as
thoughts aren’t exactly jumping from brain to computer. Sorry.
